Assembly to Recognise Student Achievement

The senior pupils of the school gathered together in the halla on Thursday to recognise the achievements of many of our third and fourth class pupils.

During the assembly, Mr. O’ Driscoll, Ms. Collins and Mr. Horgan discussed the participation of boys and girls in the Sciath na Scol indoor hurling and camogie leagues. Mr. O’ Brien then presented these pupils with their certificates.

Scott Burns, representing the Green School’s Committee, spoke to the pupils about their work to obtain a third Green Flag. This year the pupils and teachers are focusing on the theme of energy.

Mrs. Horgan congratulated the children from Scoil Oilibhéir who were chosen to participate in tennis camps over the Easter holidays. We look forward to watching them display their talents at Wimbleton in the near future!

Mrs. Woods’ 4th class, recent winners in the Discover Cork School’s Heritage Project, brought proceedings to a close, with a performance of their River Park Rap.

We are all looking forward to an assembly to recognise the achievements of our younger pupils in the coming weeks.
