The children of First class were not deterred by the seasonal weather this morning as they took to the garden on a Maths Trail. Ms Cronin set up the trail bright and early and the children had great fun finding the Halloween symbols and working out the problems.

The children of Rang a hAon spent last week working with clay. They made some tealight holders, then painted and ‘glittered’ them. They look lovely around the crib for Christmas.

It was experiment time in Rang 1 today. The children experimented with a variety of objects to see whether they would float or sink. Needless to say they enjoyed a bit of splashing in the process!!
The boys and girls of Rang 1 have been learning all about cylinders. Today they made lots of cylinders out of paper and card, short ones, tall ones, wide ones and narrow ones. Then they glued the cylinders together to build a ‘Cylinder City’ full of pipes, chimneys and towers.
