The boys and girls in Junior infants were learning about floating and sinking today. They tested out different designs to determine which shape of boat floated.

Mr Bowe’s 4th Class played the role of famous artists such as Da Vinci, Picasso, Frida Kahlo and Van Gogh during the ‘Art Oilibhéir’ exhibition. The boys and girls researched their artists and were able to wow the visitors with interesting facts about their artists. Great work from all the class!

Minibeast Hunt in Junior Infants
The Junior Infants had lots of fun today on their minibeast hunt. They were discovering the minibeasts that go to Scoil Oilibhéir too!
Paul O’Connor Memorial Tournament
4th and 5th class boys represented our school at the annual ‘Paul O’Connor Memorial Tournament’ in the North Monastery secondary school on Friday. The boys really enjoyed their day and the levels of skill, determination and hard-work on show from the boys was a credit to them all. Maith sibh buachaillí!

Great Gardeners in Rang 4
Rang 4 were very working in the polytunnel today! We had to plant our sunflower seedlings and our pumpkins outside so that they can grow over the next few months. Hopefully we will have beautiful yellow sunflowers in the next few weeks and lots of pumpkins to harvest next October for Halloween!
Athletics in Room 19
The children from Seomra 19 were lucky to be chosen to participate in an athletics programme for 4 weeks in connection with Cork Sports Partnership.
