A mock General Election was held in 5th and 6th class today. Each student was given a ballet card to cast a vote. Quotas were worked out and several counts and tallies were taken in what lead to be a great insight into the voting process for the future generation of voters .
This term, Senior Infants are focusing on improving their soccer skills and they were joined on the yard yesterday by Mr Brosnan’s Rang 6. St Vincent de Paul came to fill their van last Thursday. We were delighted with the support from the school community for this event. The children on the Health Promoting Committee and Mr Brosnan’s class worked together to fill the truck and organise the collection every morning. Maith sibh!!

6th class have just completed a 5 week Junior Achiever Programme where they learned about Health and Well-Being, Chromatography, Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy, Safety in the home and Reflection and Refraction of Light. They all received a certificate of participation at the end. Well done Rang 6!
