Congratulations to Cor Scoil Oilibheir on their recent success in the Primary Schools Competition of Cork Choral Festival. This was the choir’s first time participating and they were delighted to receive First Prize with a mark of 88.75. They beat off stiff competition from schools from Lismore, Bishopstown and Carrigaline, all seasoned performers in this competition.
The choir has been working extremely hard over the past few months to prepare their two songs, Peigin Leitir Mor and The Moon and they sang them to perfection under the direction of Ms. Ward and accompanied by Mrs. Fitzgerald.
Their success was celebrated in a whole school assembly upon there return from the competition.
We are very proud of these boys and girls in the way they represented their school both with their behaviour and their singing and wish them well in their future ventures!
