The Friends of Scoil Oilibhéir form an integral part of the school community. Comprising of parents of pupils past and present, as well as those interested in the school, the Friends work tirelessly to support the work of the children and teachers, and to provide the best educational opportunities for the pupils of Scoil Oilibhéir.
Over the years the Friends of Scoil Oilibhéir have organised many successful fundraising events such as the Christmas Bazaar, Sponsored Walk, Table Quiz, Bingo night, no uniform days and many more too numerous to mention. They also provide a helping hand at school events such as concerts, open days and Art Oilibhéir, ensuring the smooth running of these celebrations.
In recent years money raised by the Friends of Scoil Oilibhéir has purchased:
- School books for the Book Rental Scheme
- IT equipment, including interactive whiteboards, computers
- Instruments for the school band
- Team jerseys for school sports teams
