Important message from Mr O’Brien

Dear Parents, I am sure that you have been following the news in recent days about the increasing prevalence of the Omicron variant of Covid. At present we are very hopeful that schools will re-open as planned on January 6th following the Christmas break. Just in case they don’t we are preparing for that scenario, should it arise. So teachers have begun the process today, of sending home school books and copies with your children. This process will continue up to next Tuesday. Should schools not re-open on January 6th at least your children will have their books and copies to hand. We are also sending home the access codes for Seesaw, which is our online learning platform. Please put this code somewhere safe in case you need it. We also have a Digital Learning Plan in place to help teachers manage the online workload should it be required.

This message is to reassure you that we have significant plans in place should they be required if schools do not re-open after Christmas. These are plans we sincerely hope we will not have to use. At present we are operating on the basis that we will all be back on January 6th.

Regards, A. O’Brien.
