In May, Sophie in 5th class had a very important Book Launch to attend in UCC. Sophie won the Professor Fluffy Bookmark competition in November. This competition is a DEIS initiative aimed to raise awareness and encouragement to attend 3rd level education. Sophie’s bookmark will be delivered to Schools around Cork city. It is also on display in the Boole Library in UCC. An enlarged version will be on display in school.
We are all super proud of Sophie and Jason who was a runner up in the competition. Sophie’s 5th class pupils made a guard of honour as she left for college. A big thank you to UCC for the opportunity. We are certain this is only the start of Sophie’s creative and successful career!
