A visit from The Lord Mayor

Scoil Oilibhéir was absolutely delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress last week — our choir filled the halls with beautiful song, our pupils made a lovely presentation to our special guests, and had a flurry of great questions for the Lord Mayor. The children were overjoyed when the Lord Mayor awarded them no homework! 🎉

We also took this opportunity to honour Finbarr Archer, the Lord Mayors Driver who was recently presented with Cork Sarbojonin Durgotsab’s first Shamrock Lotus Award for his extraordinary compassion and service to society. Finbar has lovingly tended the burial plot in Ireland of two unclaimed Air India victims for over 30 years.
